Besse Bell

11/04/2016

What a lovely day out on our walk on Bessie Bell. It was a fair wee climb for a grade 3 walk but easy enough underfoot - Mainly paths on the way up and through the heather on the way down. Lots of crack and conversation, and delighted to welcome a few visitors taking our total to 19. The day was dry and bright with 360 degree views, the most spectacular being Errigal and Muckish. Lunch was a cold chilly affair for half of the members who choose the wrong seat in the restaurant lol but thanks to Ann Mc Cullagh the other half of the group had had a great wee sheltered spot. Thanks to leaders Patricia and John for a well organised and researched walk - and we all now know a new wee ditty about Bessie Bell and Mary Gray. Thanks also to visiting member Olwen for the photos. Check out Facebook......
